Top ten tips

for improving your site:
1. Give your home page a descriptive name.
2. Keep your home page text short. Put 4 to 5 links on your home page to deeper pages on your site.
3. Be welcoming! Tell people what they can do on your sites. It makes it easier to contribute!
4. To aid users in finding content of interest, keep your site’s navigation menu well-organized.
5. Update the site frequently with unique content. Refresh the home page to advertise the new pages.
6. Avoid creating blank pages. Add a call to action at the top to encourage contribution.
7. Use headers and subheads to aid page scanning and to create a sense of information hierarchy.
8. Use keyword tags on every page to help users discover related content more easily.
9. Add lots of photos and videos. Remember to add links and descriptions to your photos.
10. Make sure you place tags on all the pages. Your site will be much easier to find on large search engines with tags on pages, photos, and videos.

Cassyjanek Cannot edit home page because no Easy Edit 1 Sep 25 2013, 3:51 PM EDT by Naru2008

I hope you can help me. I have the website:

My problem is that when I sign in to my website I cannot edit my homepage because the Easy Edit does not appear. The Easy Edit appears on all the other pages, but my main information is on my homepage, and I would like to be able to edit it as I could with Wetpaint.

Thank you very much

moongaze_warrior How and where should I advertise my site? 1 Jun 11 2013, 7:20 PM EDT by bellswebster

We have five members and I would like more... I have nobody that I know personally to invite, nor do my fellow members. I can't advertise on other sites because it is usually against their rules. We're too small to be able to affiliate with anyone, so... I don't know what to do. I would love for our community to grow. We are a role-play site for Warriors, wolves, and big cats. Is it just that this idea is overused, or...? I don't know. Please give me tips.

rum¡ HALP PLEASE♥... 2 Jun 1 2013, 1:54 PM EDT by Anonymous

I'm making a Lion King-based site (I'll be doing credits and all/won't be claiming stuff as my own, and admonishing members in the future who plagiarize or haven't asked permission from a site for something, ect, no worries), but I'm just wondering, what rules should I enfore/drop? Like... for example... swearing (probably not going to tolerate it in the site, since younger people might join and all), how old someone has to be to join (rating the site "G"/for all audiences, or whatever it is lol), stuff like that.
