Subject: Hello Jeremy
A lot of good things are happening at my Site as I also continue to Promote Wetpaint as well. I Love Wetpaint as you know, but I have a concern. Videos are a prime Viral hit factor for any Site. Why are they not counted as a "contribution?" I again thank you and your Technical team for responding to my question in the Forum. But I do see this as, not a great idea. Please accept this as a constructive note, I mean absolutely no disrespect to Techs decisions, but Videos are a key factor to Viral Marketing and should be counted (I think). Video's (exceptional ones) also attract Readers, potential Members, and potential Clients. Last week I put a lot of effort in my Video Section at X-Ray. I did this first to make my Wetpaint exceptional (I won't stop because what makes me look good adds to Wetpaint and my extended promotion of Wetpaint) however, I do feel that Wetpaint should maybe speak to this and maybe give half credits for the contribution. If anyone can address this it's Tech! Whatever you decide, I'm with you. All I ask is that you give consideration to this. THANKS JEREMY! God Bless Tech and thank you for all the work you guys do!

You are correct in that when a video is added to the gallery it is not counted as a contribution. However, if a video is added to a page on the site via EasyEdit, it will be counted as an edit contribution. This is due to the way the gallery was built and added in as a later feature. This may be something the development team can fix at some point in the future.
Do you find this valuable?
